see below for information on the options available to you, including information on prices and how to book! handbuilt pods "otter" and "badger" both of our pods, handbuilt by ourselves in 2014, are fully insulated, double glazed and have mains electricity and tv. inside, the wooden floor and roof arches around giving a warm nordic feel. no matter what time of year you'll feel lovely and warm due to triple insulation and soft glow led lights in each corner. more shepherd hut "jacob" jacob’s shepherd hut is the latest edition to . handcrafted to a high standard. it can accommodate two persons containing electricity, double glazed windows, heating, double bed, sofa, and television, tea and coffee making facilities. there is an outside decking area facing the lake of colemere. more gypsy caravan "ruby rose" traditional bespoke bowtop caravan with a fitted with a double bed and seating (guests are asked to bring their own bedding or sleeping bags). there is lighting and heating inside with a portable tv. more social area and kitchen and the surrounding area guests have access to a fully-equipped and cute-looking social area, all hand-built and including a kitchen with fridge, kettle, utensils, pots and microwave. there is a toilet and shower block right next door. more overall rating over 133 reviews: 9.3 the best weekend i've had in forever! i cant praise this place enough. the owners were incredibly friendly and helpful - especially when i couldn't light the fire pit myself, dave came back to the pod i was staying in, in the rain, and stayed until we managed to light it. its a beautiful location. the pod was so warm and comfortable. and the toilet facilities were nice and clean. also, dave provided us a map of the local area, with different country side walks, and different pubs around the campsite. excellent site, facilities are clean the owners are super friendly. the pods are super cute and warm and toasty. the owners couldn't do enough for us. we hired a fire pit and my other half would of sat there all night by the fire. we took our dog and the town was all dog friendly and she loved how big and spacious the field was. definately recommend the pods! great experience. fantastic site, lovely owners and amazing location! loved the owners, so accommodating for our needs! pods were fantastic size and had everything you need in them! great location and settings! amazing camping pods on lovely quiet site. the camping pods are fabulous. really handy as it saves the hassle of having to set up a tent when you get there & they are nice and cosey. there is a tv with basic channels and plugs for charging your phone etc. the campsite is nice and peaceful with excellent facilities. there is a kitchen area with a kettle, microwave, washing up facilities & even a fridge. there are also pizza/takeaway menus if you would like to order anything to the camp - we will definitely be doing this next time as our bbq skills are far from great. the toilets/showers are immaculate and even had shower gels available for guests to use. the surrounding area is also great with lots of scenic walks. a great little site and very friendly owners. a lovely location with that 'in the middle of nowhere' feel down single track country lanes. the site is not too big and has a brilliant communal kitchen area with two big wooden tables to enjoy your meals at if necessary. fire pits can be hired and make a lovely addition to the overall experience. ellesmere is within walking distance and has some nice pubs (we liked the red lion and ate here most nights) and walking is wonderful in the area, especially around the meres and canal paths. very well kept site in a lovely location. the showers and toilets were spotless and the kitchen with a kettle and fridge was really useful. there is a lot of great walking straight from the site through the woods down to the lake and up the canal to ellesmere (maps provided by the owner). we had a really great time. we're still "trying out" camping (this was only our second "go"at it) but our stay has encouraged us to invest in some more kit and become "proper" campers. we only hope that the next site we try lives up to the very high standards set by colemere. explore the beauty of colemere & local areas within 10 minutes within 20 minutes within 30 minutes within 45-60 minutes within 15 minutes the sun inn [1.8 miles] - sy12 0ph lovely, dog friendly pub with real ales & wood burning stove that serve excellent meals. rednall go karting, paintball & laser tag [2.5 miles] - sy11 4hs the cross foxes [15 minute drive] - ll13 0dr beautiful pub that serves excellent meals and overlooks the river dee park hall farm [15 minute drive] - sy11 4as one of the region’s most exciting all weather family visitor attractions. with regular hands-on animal activities, two massive indoor playbarns, lots of outdoor play and driving activities there is never a dull moment for the kids. at a more sedate pace there are museums, exhibitions and beautiful countryside within 30 minutes boat inn [18 minute drive] - ll13 0dl the boat, famous for its picturesque location and charming character, sits prettily on the idyllic banks of the river dee, in erbistock. chirk castle [18 minute drive] - ll14 5af magnificent medieval fortress of the welsh marches whittington castle [18 minute drive] - sy11 4df the strikingly picturesque and romantic ruins are steeped in much history, tales of bitter border warfare, romance and legend. erddig house [20 minute drive] - sy11 4hs explore a much-loved home, garden and 1,200-acre estate filled with the stories of a family and their servants. within 45 minutes pontcysyllte aquedcut [25 minute drive] - ll20 7tg dare you cross it? and can you do it without looking down? you can walk across pontcysyllte, or save your legs and take a leisurely boat ride. but there's one thing you have to take with you. a camera. the views are something else. llangollen [28 minute drive] - ll20 8bs beautiful welsh town set over the river dee, abseiling, gorge walking, horse drawn boat, white water rafting and a steam railway. hawkstone park follies [30 minute drive] - sy4 5uy the follies is an historic woodland fantasy with cliffs, crags, caves, deep woods and a series of extraordinary monuments built over 200 years ago, after years of neglect the magical landscape was lovingly restored and reopened in 1993. parts of the park and the main walking routes contains several flights of steps, some natural ones carved into rock and some man made wooden ones – these can be slippery when wet. shrewsbury [30 minute drive] set amidst glorious countryside near to the welsh borders, it is one of england's finest medieval market towns. but stuck in the past it is not!
